God Is For Us
Scripture Reading: Romans 8:31…. “What then shall we say of these things? If God Be for Us, who can be against us?”
The other day, while taking our foster daughter to school, I was talking to her and trying to teach her new words.. She’s only 15 months old and hasn’t yet developed any real Clarity in speaking; but that doesn’t mean that she won’t try.
As I was teaching her, I was soooo thrilled and excited to see her efforts at trying to formulate the words. She couldn’t quite get it, but she tried. And with every effort, I would gladly and happily cheer her on.
That scenario made me think about how God must be towards us. Each of us have different areas in which we endeavor and Desire to grow in, but haven’t quite got it together. Even so, I believe the Father’s Heart Is just as thrilled to see us making the effort; especially when we follow His guidance and direction each step of the way.
Yet, For some of us (just as it has so often been for me), there’s a tendency to think that “God is against me if I don’t get it right.” I’m sure it disappoints His heart when we struggle, but He is Ever Patient; and I believe He cheers us on to get up each time, dust ourselves off, and keep running this race. In fact, Our Father says, “Fight the good the fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life…” (1st Timothy 6:12).
Having said that, I would just like to encourage you to remember today, that God is for you and not against you.. His heart is wholly for our good, and He desires for each of us to make it.
In Christ,
Pastor Lowe
