“You Can Trust God To Lead The Way”

Scripture Reading:

Exodus 13:20-22… “They took their Journey from Succoth, and encamped in Etham, in the edge of the wilderness. And the Lord went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to get them light; to go by day and night. He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of Fire by night, from before the people.”

The other day I was dealing with a personal dilemma that involved the need for guidance and direction that I absolutely did not have; and because I didn’t have the answer that I needed, I was overcome by uncertainty in my mind.

It was at that moment that I called to mind my favorite verse of Scripture (I think you all know it), Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing……”

Meditating on that Verse took away my anxiety, but the story concerning the children of Israel coming out of Egypt brought great peace to my heart.

In the excerpt shared above, we see that God’s tangible presence went before them by way of a cloud. The bible says that “He took not away the pillar of cloud….”. That tells us that God’s presence was there with them leading the way thru every step of their journey.

Their direction may have been uncertain to them, but It wasn’t uncertain to God.

He knew exactly where He wanted to take them, and He knew the reason “Why” He led them the way they went.

All they had to do was trust and follow.

I realized, that, for us today that’s the same case.

The presence of God is ever and always with us, and even dwelling within us, to lead and guide us every step of the way.

Though the days we are living in are so uncertain, there is one thing that we can all be certain of: God knows what He’s doing, and He will guide us. He promised He would do so…. Psalms 32:8 says “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

Trust Him to Lead The Way.

Peace and Blessings To All,

Pastor Lowe
