God Watches Over Us

Behold, I am with you and will keep [careful watch over you and guard] you wherever you may go, and I will bring you back to this [promised] land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”  (Genesis 28:15... Amp)

Oftentimes, The Lord does things on our behalf that we are sometimes totally unaware of.

Yesterday, my wife and I took a trip back to my hometown, which is a 2 hour drive away, to pick up an appliance that she really needed for her cakes. We had planned the trip almost a week prior.

Since I knew that we'd be pressed for time to get there, and back, as promptly as we could, I decided to put gas in the truck early so I wouldn't have to later.
When I lifted my hood that morning I noticed a work rag setting on top of my engine oil dipstick, "right" next to the engine belt.

I'd had a new tensioner and belt put on the truck 2 weeks before, and I believe my mechanic forgot to get his rag when he finished.

The rag couldn't have been more than 2 inches away from the belt, but it never got caught up into the belt. I'd been driving my truck for 2 weeks already, without incident!!
Without ever knowing, on the day that my wife and I were getting ready to take a lengthy journey, "something" (I truly believe  it was "someone") told me to check my oil, and that's when I saw the rag!!
I can't tell you how much gratitude filled my heart the moment of that discovery!

I just KNEW THAT I KNEW THAT I KNEW THAT I KNEW, that God was watching over us!

That's a truth worth rejoicing about! We have a Heavenly Father Who is always keeping careful watch over His own!

"Faithful and absolutely trustworthy is He who is calling you [to Himself for your salvation], and He will do it [He will fulfill His call by making you holy, guarding you, watching over you, and protecting you as His own]." ( 1 Thessalonians 5:24... Amp)

Blessings To You In Christ,
Pastor Lowe
