Hear, O children, the instruction of a father, And pay attention [and be willing to learn] so that you may gain understanding and intelligent discernment. - (Proverbs 4:1 Amp)

For the past few weeks I have been in truck driving school learning how to drive a tractor trailer.

It's been challenging, and difficult, in some regards... and I believe one of my biggest difficulties has been "jumping the gun" because I thought I already knew what was next... :-)

Of course, after "blowing it", more than a few times, I decided that I would settle down and listen to every single solitary thing that the instructor said, and do only that.... (not to mention he told me "if you listen to me you will be driving this thing in no time").

And.... LO AND BEHOLD, I discovered that He was right!!!

As sooooon as I started listening to his instructions and applying what he told me, the truck started acting right!  Lol

That experience made me think about God's word, and how He has given us instructions to live by.... If only we would listen and apply (By His Strength) what He instructs us, Life would work out a little better for so many of us.

Jeremiah said that it is not in man to direct his steps (10:23), and that's why God gave us The Bible.

It is The Blueprint For Life.

All He asks of us is that We Pay attention and Be willing to Learn.

When we do that, we'll find ourselves driving the road of Life a bit more smoothly.

Father, we pray that, in Your Mercy, you would keep us covered with the Cloak of Humility that we might all be willing to yield our hearts and minds to your instruction. Apart from you, we can do nothing.
