What Goodness Lies Ahead
I would have fainted, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. – Psalm 27:13 KJV
Early this morning I was up looking out the window of our hotel (over downtown Los Angeles) thinking about the circumstances that eventually brought us to where we are.
I found myself rehearsing, in brief detail, all of the happenings of the previous year (which I believe turned out to be a tremendous challenge for so many, even in the body of Christ).
2021 was definitely a year that I will never ever forget; In it were dear loses, severe challenges, and trials that I would have never imagined, for myself, and so many others in our circle alone.
But I realized this morning, that, just as sure as there were many heart-rending challenges and unbearable difficulties, in hindsight I could also see an “obvious” trail of Goodness literally “following us” every step of the way. (See Psalms 23:6)
God was being faithful to His promises even while we were enduring and going through suffering… He said “weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning..”; and I’m here to testify, that, though there was much weeping, at many junctures along the way we experienced almost DOUBLE the joy!
Wherever there was pain, there was also healing… Wherever there was loss, there was also gain… and whenever grief seemed to grab ahold, refusing to let go, God sent liberating comfort.
His Goodness was evident in every circumstance.
David Believed that He would see it all The Days of His Life, and we can believe it too.
I don’t know about you, but I can hardly wait to see ‘What Goodness Lies Ahead’…
Father, we want to thank You for the Goodness you’ve shown toward us in the previous year. We simply ask that you would help us to Put our Hope totally in You during this New Year.
In Jesus Name.
Love Yall,
Pastor Lowe
